Where did the name come from?
A list of over 50 names and beer samples were sent up to New York with a friend of Rinehart’s. The one name that stuck out was “Baying Hound,” the “Aleworks” was added later. Rinehart says that he wanted to call it something other than just a brewery, “There’s too much Brewing Company this, brewing company that, but only a few ‘Aleworks.'”
Rinehart gives his wife the credit for coming up with the name.
