Taj Mahound(Brown Ale)

Taj Mahound is a hoppy brown ale.  The norm for brewing in some cases, is to add hop additions from high Alpha (higher IBUs) to lower Alpha, we didn’t follow that, in fact we reversed it.  We believe these reversed alpha hops, for lack of a better term, “low to high,” brings out a totally different flavor profile than your standard IPA.

Trivia

The name came about when Rinehart was looking for a catchy name that both matched the style but still remained dog themed.  He called up one of Wimsey’s people came up with it, by accident!  She was thinking “Taj Mahall,” but that was already taken, and it wasn’t dog themed.    She laughed when Rinehart said he loved it, and so the name was born.
